John H. Budwash
John H. Budwash, 86, of Frackville, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning at the St. Lukes / Geisinger Hospital, Orwigsburg.

Born in Mahanoy City, August 7, 1937, he was a son of the late Charles and Kate Blackwell Budwash.  He was a graduate of Mahanoy City High School.

Jack and his wife Charlotte owned and operated The Pizza Place restaurant in Frackville.  He previously worked as cutting room foreman for the former Model Garment Factory in Frackville.

Jack was a past president and a former coach of the Frackville Little League.

Devoted to his church, he was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Frackville.  He was a member of the Rev. James A. Hogan Knights of Columbus, Council #2580, Frackville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlotte Ann Budwash, in 1992. The last of six siblings, he was also preceded by infant sister Joan Budwash, sister Rose Jones, and brothers Charles, Julius and Harry Budwash.

Jack is survived by his wife of 63 years, Charlotte Gorski Budwash, and four children:

Daughter Antoinette Holohan and husband Donald; grandson Sean and wife Ashley, and great granddaughters Ayda and Isabella.  Grandson Ryan and wife Emily and great granddaughter Hailey. Granddaughter Bridget and husband Joseph Groff. Granddaughter Caitlyn and husband Sean Hoban and great grandchildren Lennon and Logan. Grandson Connor Holohan.

Daughter Maria Bessasparis and husband Michael, grandsons Stephen and Matthew.  

Son John Budwash and wife Barbara, granddaughter Taylor and husband Ryan Miske, with daughter Lainey and grandson Brett Budwash.

Son Joseph and wife Amanda with granddaughters Charlotte and Mia.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 28th, at St. Joseph the Worker Parish Church, Frackville by Rev. Giuseppe C. Esposito, celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Albert L. Gricoski Funeral home, Frackville; and Tuesday morning from 8 to 9:30 a.m.  Interment will be St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph the Worker Parish Memorial Fund, 7 S. Broad Mountain Ave., Frackville, PA  17931.
